Chinook Hops Are Mostly used for Bittering.But Have Nice Aroma Characteristics. Released In May 1985, It Was Bred By Crossing Breeding Petham Golding With The USDA 63012 Male. They Have A Medium Intensity Aroma Described As Piney, Spicy With Hints Of Grapfruit. A High Alpha Acid Hop With A Herbal Smoky Character When Used For Aroma Or When When dry hoping. Chinooks are Excellent For American-Style Pale Ales, Especially Those Brewed To Higher Gravities. Typical Beer Styles include IPAs, Stouts, Porters and Barley Wines. Lupulin is Abundant And Yellow-Orange Color.
